This artwork is created in a 2.5" x 3.5" format. Originally the concept came about as a way for artists to trade art work among themselves. However, they were so popular with the buying public that many artists are now creating them and calling them "Art Cards" as well as the term "Art In Your Pocket" or "Pocket Art." It is my understanding that at least one person is selling them from vending machines in airports and other likely places.

Most Art Trading Cards are originals but many artists are making prints of the ones that have mass appeal – such as for holidays and special days.

The description of the artwork will be stated as well as whether the card is an original or is a print. If a print, it must be a limited edition and it must be stated how many are in the edition and the number of that particular print. This is done the same way that a person who is offering limited edition prints for sale.
